Giovanni assumed the squad 13 captain would take the recommendation to the head captain eventually so he took his leave from the Captains office and the barracks as a whole. He wasnt to sure about how long it would take or if it would even work since the recommendation is supposed to come from his own captain but ultimately it was up to the head captain to decide. And the head captain knew a majority of his progress and accomplishments because Gio wrote reports. With that in mind he focused on the task at hand. He needed to get everything together rather soon. Now that he had his taste of fresh air he could get back to work... 

When he got back to squad Five he noticed Gustavo in his normal spot on the roof. He has sensed him on the way out but didnt have a chance to stop and speak, this time he shunpo'd up to him "Gustavo, hows it.." he noticed that he seemed upset "whats eating you?" He asked
