Connor watched Marl, unable of course to see through walls and watch Elizabeth. He heard Marl give a grunt, unable to hear what Elizabeth had addressed to him. Connor shifted from the news stand and approached Marl. "Spying on me, and another hunter?" He asked, slightly surprised as Marl jumped. Connor had never surprised Marl before. "Becky has been helping me. Now, what's going on? You would have seen me following you, just as Becky knew you were following her. So what is going on?" Connor dreaded the answer even as he asked the question, looking to Elizabeth briefly, before returning his gaze to Marl. Marl gave a sigh, and seemed to hesitate. "You're onto something with those files of yours, Connor. We should return to the inn" Connor looked to Elizabeth, but knew she could handle herself. "See you later" He called to her, starting back towards the inn, making sure Marl was following, and leaving Elizabeth alone. He knew one little slip up could unravel their deception. Connor opened the inn door, and shut it again after Marl entered. He sighed and sat down on the bed, looking to Marl. "You think what I think. The bitten humans will be massed turned to create an army. .And that's why you are worried that I was turned" Connor was annoyed at that, and he rose to approach Marl. "I will tell you something. I'm Stronger than you think" Stronger then I thought, at least He remembered that brief moment when he could have bitten down and tasted Elizabeth's blood, and he hadn't. "I know the risks of hunting vampires, I know how to look after myself, and I have El-Becky to help. Now, what I need from you is a why a dead werewolf just disappeared? ?Something big is happening Marl, and you are wasting your time hunting me down. You should just trust me, like I have you. Like I did the moment you shoved dead man's blood down my throat. I could have called he police, say some crazy had just tried to kill me, but I didn't. So trust me" He stared at Marl, refusing to look away. When Marl didn't answer, Connor threw his arms up in frustration. "You aren't the man I thought you were. Get out" He opened the door to the room, and stayed silent against Marl's protests, slamming the door shut when he left the room. Connor let out an exasperated sigh, and dropped down onto his bed, dropping his head into his hands.
