Shou's reaction to her shouting instantly made Rio feel bad. Crossing her arms, she turned towards him only to be met with the sight of his back. This caused her to pout a little, but instead of being apologetic about upsetting him, she stood her ground. Rio was now Shou's mentor, for him to go far and learn, she had to uphold her authority to make sure that he took what she said and taught him seriously. She'd be wasting Shou's time if she went easy on him every time he became upset. Her Captain wasn't easy on her when training her and thanks to that, she managed to gain her Shikai.
