Name: Solara Age: 44 Gender: Female (for the most part) Race: Asari
Appearance: Another Pic Personality: Solara is as Ardat Yakshi and by nature wishes to grow more powerful and her natural instinct is to kill and manipulate in order to achieve this. While still afraid of what she can do she won't so much as hesitate if she truly feels her life is in danger. Like many other Ardat Yakshi she is addicted to the feeling of growing powerful and thus mates often when she believes her mate could possibly survive the encounter. She is not above mating with lower life forms such as wildlife but as a natural born predator enjoys the hunt of pursuing a target even if she has no intention of killing it. Being an asari maiden, Solara is also prone to rampant bursts of curiosity which tends to lead her to explore any room that doesn't remain closed. Sometimes even if she has been there before. She has many ill thoughts regarding her Ardat Yakshi nature and committing suicide for the atrocities she has done. However, being an Ardat Yakshi, she enjoys her freedom and survival above all else. Abilities: Push: Solara blasts the foe with a concussive blast of kinetic energy to knock the target off their feet. Pull: Solara telekinetically pulls her target closer to her, forcefully dragging them off their feet and powerlessly levitating them off the ground towards her. The target is shielded by biotic energy while this takes place, and thus cannot be harmed, except by other biotics. Lift: Solara propels the target skyward using biotic energy, however only as much as 5 feet off the ground. The target is shielded by biotic energy while this takes place, and thus cannot be harmed except by other biotics. This cannot work on anything that weighs more than Solara's maximum limit of 350lbs. Slam: A follow-up to Lift, after lifting the foe Solara telekinetically turns their body so that their head is facing the ground and their legs are the highest thing in the air. She then propels the target into the ground with 350lbs of force. During this time, unlike Lift, the target is not shielded by biotic energy. Biotic Barrier: Solara creates a coccoon of biotic energy around her body in order to protect herself from enemy biotics. The biotic barrier energy is a light blue color and makes Solara moderately resistant to physical attacks, and immune to enemy biotics. Singularity, Stasis: Solara creates a powerful cocoon of biotic energy that is much like a biotic barrier however is much more powerful. The biotic cocoon is light blue and not only makes the target entirely immune to all forms of damage, passive damage, but it also freezes them from any and every form of action that they physically and mentally make. The target usually appear to be frozen in time and a sitting duck, but due to their invulnerability, this isn't true. Dominate: Solara attempts to dominate the mind of her target and overwhelm them with her thoughts in order to force them to do an action. While the mental struggle is dependent on if the target is weak willed or strong willed, they forget ever having the mental struggle if they lose. This in other words makes target believe they did the action of their own free will, Solara can uses more subtle versions of this to prove her worth by appearing to have a trait that the target values. This would make her more trustworthy, attractive, kind, friendly, and most feeling of doubts in not giving her whatever she wanted would gradually wash away the longer one is within her company. "Everyone loves me and I don't have to love them back" Forcefield: Solara is particularly good at creating powerful barriers as a means of proving protection from fatal attacks ad making them a little more subtle. Strengths: Long Range Combat, Mental battles, Seduction, Manipulation, Escaping, Resourcefulness Weaknesses: (weak points can be listed here, optional) Short ranged combat. Gunfights. Physical combat, strong willed people. How did she end up here: Came here on a battle cruiser believing she was on her way to a place she knows as the Citadel, but now with the crew's death it appears she may be trapped here. Occupation: Model Equipment: She has only food, money (credits), and a space suit. Biography: Solara is the only daughter of the pureblood asari known as Matriarch Solaris, and for good reason. For 700 hundred years Solaris worked her way up from being a nobody and disgrace to becoming a well respected member among her people despite her 'disadvantage'. Although she was ridiculed as a child, Solaris openly admitted that she was ashamed of herself for living and her parents for allowing her to be born. This however was a facade as Solaris considered herself to be extremely powerful and far more intelligent than her non-pureblood peers. Using this increased intelligence, Solaris had little trouble manipulating any and every asari to get whatever she wanted. In time, Solaris grew bored with her homeworld Thessia and traveled off world to explore. Eventually finding herself lingering in the far reaches of space alone, she grew sexually frustrated. Landing on the nearest planet, Sur'Kesh, the Salarian homeworld, Solaris found a suitable mate, Elvaresh. In 3 years time Solaris gave birth to Solara who displayed the traits of her parents and was extremely bright despite her young age. She was considered a miracle child by Elvaresh but Solaris, still adventurous and curious to see the outside world, resented her daughter. One day in the dead of night Solaris left Sur'Kesh, leaving her family behind to see the rest of the universe. Elvaresh did his best to raise Solara and for a time it seemed sufficient but eventually his life grew short. While Elvaresh's life span was short Solara was doomed to outlive him due to her life span being twenty five times his own, it was fairly impossible to raise her by himself from the start. Despite most Salarians' attitudes towards sex, Solara was visually attractive to males and females alike and became a model shortly after her 23rd birthday. When corpses started to appear because of her promiscuous actions, Solara panicked and considered suicide for a short time. Instead she set out to find her mother when her father expired, using it as a good excuse to explore the universe. Solara traveled to Thessia in order to obtain some knowledge of her mother's whereabouts but found that the planet's inhabitants weren't as cooperative as she had hoped. On Sur'Kesh at the age of 20, Solara was looked at as an adult but on Thessia, she was no more than a child. Irresponsible in the eyes of older Asari, Solara found it extremely difficult to communicate with people that belittled her without getting frustrated. It was this reason that Solara wasted 20 years on Thessia learning the ways of her people and their culture. She learned she was what her people knew as an Ardat Yakshi and her only choices if she was found out was to live a life of seclusion or die. She however wasn't sure if the deaths were merely coincidental and so didn't incriminate herself by asking further questions. When she got word of a sighting of her mother Solara departed from Thessia as a stowaway on a military ship headed for the Citadel, a city like contraction that remains aloft within the vaccuum of space. When the ship stopped, Solara exited thinking that they had arrived on the Citadel but they did not. Instead she came to realize that this was one of the crew's planned stops. Not wishing to waste any time and allow her mother to flee the Citadel before she could probe her for answers, Solara attempted to hijack the ship while the crew was away. This however was unsuccessful when she proved incapable of understanding the controls of the thessian ship and was forced to remain on the world. It is here that she came to terms with her violent side when she was forced to use her biotics to mercilessly kill others who dared to threaten her.
