Elizabeth ignored the stiffening of Marl, but noted it for later. She was glad to have stopped the irepairable split of the two, but she sensed that she would need to clear the air and set a new order of how things would work...that and some other thoughts were brewing in her mind. Silently, she ushered Marl in and closed the door behind her. She listened intently to what Connor was saying, looking mildly confused between him and Marl when he said that Marl treated modern typing as if he still needed a typewriter cartridge. "but...typewriters haven't been in use for a while now..." she said as she walked over to his laptop, setting her laptop next to him. She studied his notes and somewhat clumsily worked through them in an attempt to understand it all. She went through it on both computers, in order to learn it faster. When she got to the section about Google, she typed in vampire, and then switched to images. She smiled a bit to herself in a victorious manner. But then she got more serious, it being obvious through her tone. "I told Marl about some things..." she started, still focussed on her work," I didn't have to tell him what I was...apparently in three hundred years I lost my human movement without realizing it...or something like that. He says that he knows that you're after the medallion, what your thinking, and why I'm tagging along...but...I don't think he actually understands the full implications." She turned towards them then, looking at Marl. "Obviously, Connor is taking me along to get the medallion because he's a good man who likes and trusts my character and wants to turn me back...but the fact that I'm going along willingly means that I want to become human." She takes a couple steps towards them then, "it means that I prefer being human to being a vampire. That I am not some self obsessed, power hungry blood sucker that gives humans a reason to defend themselves through use of hunters...it means that, even though I have attacked and even killed people in my time...I am still, technically, an innocent....So while I understand and even respect your need to threaten me with death, I'm going to ask that you treat me as a human with a dreadful affliction..rather than a monster....because I am seeking to be cured. And that's what matters between us, isn't it?"
