Daniel shrugged at her protest, weak as it was. he hadn't really minded that much. "Don't worry about it," he replied. It wasn't the first time he'd had a long, sleepless night. There was no need to mention that though,. For the moment, there were several things to do. He eased the seat back up as he worked his hands, not putting them on the wheel just yet. To her question, he had an easy response. "Well first, we need to ditch the truck." No offense," he said, looking her way as if attempting to placate her. "But they know what it looks like, and it's too risky. Then some food would be nice, and we need to get some cash if possible. And then, just need to decide where to go." He made it sound that easy, like he'd done it before, which he probably had, but there was likely more detail involved than he seemed to imply. But he was trying to keep her calm, so hopefully it would do the trick.
