If I may, I'd like to play as two characters. The first character goes by Shai Long, who acts as the Queen's personal bodyguard. He's an older man, mid-to-upper 30s, and is a trained master samurai (not to say that he's the best, but he's pretty dad-gum good at it). He's a morally upright individual who usually tries to do the right thing, but he will not hesitate to kill someone in the line of duty. Sometimes he acts as a part-time advisor for the queen, but he usually prefers to stay out of politics. He prefers the simpler lifestyle of killing assassins and keeping out the riffraff. Thus far, he has never been seen without his katana. The second character goes by Jarus Ingsol, who acts as the Queen's official advisor. The only problem is that he's as corrupt as they come. He's a ruthless individual who manipulates the Queen so that things always tend to go his way. He prefers to remain the advisor, since being on the throne itself would make everyone turn their problems to him. When the Queen holds court, Jarus usually has her ear, and slyly seeks to manipulate the Queen into making some poor decisions. He and Shai Long are usually at odds with each other, and Shai Long has threatened on more than one occasion to cut him into pieces. Despite this, he really is a wise and intelligent person, and when troubles come her way, Her Majesty is quick to turn to Jarus for a plan (although that may not always be a good thing).
She has a squad of personal bodyguards rather then just him, but he can certainly be among them. Being Asian inspired I assume he comes from another land or he could have been born here and it was his ancestors who migrated into our kingdom. Maybe he's not 100% trusted by the other guards, being a foreigner, so has to prove himself? For your advisor, her majesty wouldn't be quick to turn to him unless he can somehow be more subtle about his evilness, tricking her into thinking he's good. I'm sure that's what you have in mind.
I'd love to join! :D I never even heard of this game until I saw this RP, but it's interesting =3If it's not a 'no go' role, I'd like to grab a spot as one of those 'siblings who were 'ahead' of her in succession but chose not to accept it', An older brother more like, Still a prince. I've always had a preference for the 'adviser' role over the 'ruler' role, there's all kinds of things that go along with that both good and bad >=3 All I'll elaborate on is that He'll be a man who has many Secrets [probably including magic because I LOVE magic :D] As for 'other races' in a fantasy setting, I say GO NUTS! Not all of em have to be on the same level as humans! Dwarves and elves are the commonplace of just about every fantasy setting, but if you don't have some exciting creatures that REALLY mix it up and might require unique methods of defense against, then... it's basically just different balances of human type things that everyone already knows how to deal with =3 I have one in particular that'd be wicked to see included [whether a player controls one or not] and could make for quite the diplomatic adventure for a fresh Queen to encounter.Edit: SHIT! Stranger D: If I get to join in as the Queen's 'older brother' I see him clashing something hardcore with your corrupt adviser XD
Okay. He could be the oldest brother or a one sibling older brother to her majesty. I'm not sure if she'd prefer siding with her brother or not over her other advisors. It could be funny if they get into childish arguments from time to time due to sibling rivalry of sorts so she won't listen to a word he says while in that mood. Feel free to give your fantasy race idea. I might include more than just dwarves, elves, and goblins. Fairies are among the human kingdom. Fawns might be included as well. I may or may not make up some races.
I think it would be really cool if there was an older sibling of the queen, one that suppose to get the throne, that fell in love with an Elf. That would be interesting. It would be awesome to roleplay her too if I could. Probably a girl. Except I don't know if someone would want to roleplay the Elf boy, he can be whoever they want.
Your character can be the older sister then. Hopefully the elf is marrying her for the right reasons. I don't trust many characters aren't these parts... *gives suspicious glances
