Ikura was, quite obviously, happy to be there. He'd been elated at the idea of throwing a celebration for Viral, that was a sure way to cheer him up. He didn't exactly come off as enthusiastic right now but that could very easily change, they only had to put in a little more effort. Greeting the Beastman with a hug the doctor took his spot beside Viral, getting a very light plate of food for himself. "It's a birthday the same reason it is for everyone. Each year you celebrate the day a person was born on, it's all about celebrating life. That's how a birthday works, so we're celebrating you today." the old man explained, smiling kindly. In a spur of the moment action, or perhaps just wanting to show a little affection he reached out, ruffling Viral's hair playfully in a fatherly show. When the Beastman promptly reacted and covered his head Ikura couldn't help but laugh, enjoying his reaction. "Ah... They haven't explained anything? Well that won't do, not at all. Let's see here..." Ikura cupped his chin throughtfully, folding his other arm across his chest as he leaned back in his seat. "First thing is you greet all the guests, though you don't have to do that. After you socialize a bit you have a meal, we're doing that now. After that you usually have the cake, and presents lastly. Any clearer for you?" Takeshi smiled in amusement at T'charrl, not quite sure how anyone could be so fascinated with a balloon. Expecting it to go back up to the ceiling but instead hovering there. Spotting the knot on his wrist the Saiyan rolled his eyes, though still smiling as he went back to his food. Not for long, as another guest had joined the party, and they seemed rather friendly with Viral. Watching curiously the older boy shook his head, "No, I don't know who he is. And I was laughing because of what he did to Viral." The hug, anyways. When he saw the man ruffle Viral's hair Takeshi nearly lost it, having to cover his mouth to bite back a laugh. Snickering behind his hand he reached over, covering Shu's mouth briefly for worry his brother might give him away. "Shhh... I know that. What do you think? I'll give the guy... 5 minutes before he's running for it." You normally couldn't even give the guy a high five without him coming down on you with his cleaver, let alone hug him or, heaven forbid, ruffle his hair. Either this guy had a death wish or really knew what he was doing. "Hah... This could get really bad..." he mumbled, returning to his meal innocently.
