Fujiwara looked around him as the two moved deeper into the forest, concerned about the possibility of an ambush in the middle of the darkness. Using his katana to reflect the moonlight peeking through the trees, he and Ayame slowly moved further into the forest until they came across a lone Nepent. Holding up his hand, Fujiwara silently closed the distance between him and the Nepent before using <> to quickly slice through the plant. Sheathing his blade, Fujiwara turned around and motioned for Ayame to move out as he checked his inventory for the last item. "This place is too creepy for my liking. C'mon, let's go." Fujiwara said as he looked at Ayame. He noticed that she seemed to be struggling with something, however, and walked back to her side to check it out. There, he noticed that Ayame's foot had been caught by the root of a tree that seemed to be sticking it out. "I... I can't seem to get free of it..." Ayame whispered as Fujiwara knelt down and tried to undo her foot from the root. When that failed, however, he drew his katana and silently drew it. "It shouldn't be an <>, so I think this should work..." he said as he quickly sliced through the tree root, freeing Ayame from its grasp. She fell back, hitting the trunk of a tree behind her before struggling to get up. "Ow... That hurt..." she said as she grabbed Fujiwara to pull herself up and steady herself. Sighing, she and Fujiwara began to slowly head back to town through the darkness.
