Well I think that would work out for the best. Sometimes the meeting thing sucks the life out of the opening of the RP XD
If everyone is connected to the rebels they could be a team. Or just stay at the same Rebel camp/village. 
So they could know each other without really having deep relationships if the relationship isn't craved.
