Rosaline always had as much curiosity as a cat. She leaned against the brick wall of the grocery store, watching the charade continue. Lately she had found herself often drawn to these sorts of things. Secrets could be very lonely. She yearned to speak to maybe another mutant. The only person she had showed her ability to had been her brother, who seemed to not be gifted as she was. Her mother, of course, was not one. The last option was her father but who knows where he ended up. Rose knew he must have been one. She had always flirted with the possibility of her father being taken away. She and Hunter had been told he had left after a big argument between him and their mother. Rosaline never bought it. Any one of the people in the crowd could be a mutant and any of them could know she was one too. It made it all the more risky being here but this rally was different than the others. She hadn't seen anything like this. Rose was staying with the hope of witnessing something important happen. The soft ring of a bell and squeak of an opening door made her glance to the side of her. A young Asian teen, possibly around her age, came out of the coffee shop that resided beside the grocery store. Maybe even he could be one. She had seen him watching from inside the shop. Rosaline went to fixate her gaze back on the scene before her when her phone vibrated. She took it out to find 4 missed calls from her mother and 6 from her brother. Rose slid the menu aside to send them both a text and found herself on a website called "FreeGenes." Vaguely, she could remember googling things on her phone and stumbling upon this site in the middle of the night while tucked into her bed. Unfortunately, she had fallen asleep before she could register for it. She supposed she could quickly do it now.
