[b]In this game[/b] we will each of us create and play as one of the many factions of the land called the Riverrealm. There will be a sheet and a set of rules which you will use in the creation of your faction, and while there will be guidelines and recommendations as to what I’d like the feel of the game to be like, I will be as lenient as I can. This is a collective process, after all, and if I wanted to decide everything for myself I’d go write a book or something.

[center][b]Quick Facts[/b][/center]

[b]The Riverrealm is[/b] a large piece of land which largely consists of high mountains and deep valleys, through which a myriad of rivers run in all directions. In the center lies the great mountain Ur, from which all rivers stem and on the Gods are reputed to live. The entire region is surrounded by a great, impassable mountain range and is riddled with big forests. 

The technological development is largely equal to the European 1200s, with a few exceptions. The most widespread religious worship is the temple of the Gods on Ur, a church which is very varied in its pantheon, practice and intensity of worship depending on which valley you’re in. There are largely no inequalities in terms of gender in the Riverrealm. Men and women are treated equally and have equal opportunity within their social status. 

Humans are the predominant species of the Riverrealm. There may be other sentient humanoids, but humans are in vast majority.
