Coolseville, alrighty. You can base characters of fairy tail/mythological/literary figures if you'd like, or have 'em completely original. Let me know if you have idea for villains or faculty, but definitely have student first. Here's some of the faculty to give an idea, though I don't have post samples for 'em written up. I'll edit it shortly after posting, though, they're from the last roleplay I was in when the CS was a little different. They should be generally fine for now, though. --- EDIT: Added Post samples.
Name: Arrun Tower Nickname: Artie, if you’re brave, otherwise Mr. Tower Gender: Male Age: 35 Weapons/Equipment/Armor: “Lightning Spire,” Arrun’s sword is one of the most powerful weapons around. It’s handle is dual-grip, but the sword is balanced enough to be handled with one strong arm well enough. It can also be fitted into his armor along his forearm, if the need arises. It’s made of a special allow called “Excalibirium,” which is a superconductor that’s strength is comparable to titanium. It has several golden spikes at the hilt and a Dust tank in the handle, and is usually used in conjunction with Yellow Dust. The Spikes can be shot out for a long range attack, and automatically return magnetically if he can get within range. It takes great skill to wield it effectively, but if done so, it’s capable of launching a circular shockwave around the user, a blast of electricity from the blade, and can (In extreme cases) summon a thunder storm with aimed lightning bolts. It’s most impressive attacks have only been seen when used with Arrun’s armor. “Blazing Lion,” Arrun’s armor of red and gold, bearing a lion’s helmet and a chest piece resembling a main. Armor segments are connected with a heat-resistant monofilament mesh that allows him to move with surprising grace, considering the armor’s heavy weight. With Dust fuel system specifically designed for Red and Orange, Arrun’s armor is capable of great bursts of speed, surviving intensely hot temperatures, and generating an almost lava-like amount of heat. It’s fairly old fashioned in most other aspects, but Arrun’s raw power has kept him a force to be reckoned with. Semblance: Tranquil Rage – In moments of extreme emotional turmoil, like anger or fear, Arrun can focus his Aura to be powered by the emotional stress, giving him a huge boost in stamina and strength while allowing him to not be emotionally compromised. During this time, his skin takes on a slightly more reddish hue, but his face appears calm and serene, despite whatever violent actions he could be taking. However, while this allows him to overcome difficulties in combat or when facing a powerful foe, he dislikes using it as he feels he loses his humanity during that time. He often fears what actions he might take with using Tranquil Rage, if he did something that couldn’t be undone. Hobbies: Dueling, exercising, reading (usually battle strategy and war stories), and several that he won’t admit to but that he has to help him battle are Dancing, yoga, and calligraphy. While he’s not good at it, he’s trying to learn how to cook, but he’s burned more than a few cookies in his time. Bio: Arrun was born on the battlefield, he learned to fight before learning to speak. He has a fierce set of morals and is extremely loyal to the previous Headmaster, who saved his family when Arrun was overrun by a pack of Beowolves. With his help, Arrun created Lightning Spire and Blazing Lion, and was able to defeat the monsters that had plagued his village’s home. As thanks, Arrun teaches others to be hunters at Beacon academy, but will go into battle at a moment’s notice if need be. Personality: Very straightforward and brusque, often comes off as meaner than he means. Is incredibly nice one you get to know him, but his demeanor is very aggressive and combative. Will intervene in any conflict if he feels it can’t be settled amicably, but he also thinks that a fight can lead to a better understanding, and sometimes you learn more from losing a fight than winning. Appearance: (I guess this one will work) Post Sample: In the Headmaster’s office, light poured through the windows. It illuminated clouds of dust in the air as a gray-haired man was looking over old books and papers. He sat, pensive, chin in hand as his eyes scanned over the late Headmasters documents. He sighed, rubbing his brow as he set another pile of documents down on a growing stack. “Nothing about faculty members he was thinking of appointing, no other Hunters he was going to ask, did Mr. Luster not have any contingency plan set?” he asked himself, slowly sinking in his chair. He held his hand to his face, peering through his fingers. He’d been teaching there for years, he knew how to make a curriculum, and knew how to teach a class. But he was first and foremost a soldier, and while running a class like an army battalion was close enough to pass, he couldn’t run a school like a military operation. They needed a true leader, a hero that could inspire students to greatness, not out of fear and death. He sighed once more, closing the drawer from the desk. Arrun rose, buttoning his coat as he decided to stretch his legs. The search for the Beacon Headmaster wasn’t going to get finished in a few sittings, but he just hoped that it would get finished before another calamity would strike. He strode over to the office door, leaving through it and locking it behind him. [i[“Maybe a proper dinner would help,” he thought, as his stomach quietly grumbled. He looked down, disapprovingly, before leaving the faculty offices and heading towards the food court.

Name: Rose Patch Nickname: Rosie, Ms. Patch Gender: Female Age: 28 Weapons/Equipment/Armor: “Sleeping North,” a katana which uses White Dust. Rose’s fighting style is so subtle that over the course of the fight, she can cover the entire fighting ground with frost before her opponent notices. She can extend her sword into an ice blade for more damage, as well as controlling ice shards and using them as projectiles. She has, in extreme cases, also been able to make ice mirrors to confuse her opponents, but that requires a lot of time and ice to make. Armor: Simple, lightweight, and mostly armored on her left so she can shield herself in profile without sacrificing maneuverability. Semblance: Northern Lullaby – Rose’s Aura can release a imperceptible pulse while she’s fighting, that slowly lulls the opponent into a deep sleep. It gently interacts with the opponent’s own Aura, and takes longer depending on the strength/amount the opponent has, but it’s possible to counteract her “Lullaby” if the opponent keeps their Aura wavelength from falling into sync with hers. Though hers doesn’t take much thought to use, so she can distract the opponent with fighting while her Semblance catches them unaware. Hobbies: Napping, dozing, sleeping (She says they’re different things), skating, and sight seeing. Enjoys coffee and sweets, will sometimes have a doughnut or cookie with her freshly ground brew. Bio: Rose’s family was fairly rich, “Patchwork Clothes” is perhaps the most popular brand of clothing on the market. Her aunt was a bit of a black sheep in the family, however, deciding to become a Huntress rather than taking a position in the company. She’d tell Rose stories to help her sleep, of her many adventures and battles, but one day she disappeared without a trace. Rose decided to become a Huntress to look for her, and misses her very deeply, perhaps loving her more than her own mother. But when Rose sleeps, she has the same dreams and sees her aunt, so she often spends her free time napping. Not many people know of her past, and just write her napping off as being ditzy. Personality: Kind of dreamy, bubbly, and air headed, but that’s usually when she’s just woken up (She’s not a morning person, but she’s never angry, she just seems kind of…floaty.). But she has an eidetic memory, and even if she’s not fully aware at the time, she doesn’t lose track of things. Many students try to get things past her when she’s drowsy, but they all fail. When conscious, she’s nice, charming, helpful, but not very confrontational, preferring to use subterfuge to settle arguments. But don’t push her, she has the heart of a warrior. One of the “services” available for students looking to train was live Grimm to fight. The training robots and hologram sequencers sufficed, but those really wishing to test their mettle, or flirt with danger, chose live training. Not many besides the faculty did this, however, so any chance to watch a session was quite a sight. A woman with long blue hair darted over the arena, one of four figures in the large, empty room below a shielded observation deck. One Huntress against three, large Ursa, the battle was already underway. Rose jumped back, a swing parrying the swipe of the injured Ursa. It quickly brought up its other arm, but Rose didn’t miss a beat and bounding off the rising claw into midair, spinning as she fell and deftly slicing the beast’s head from its body. As the furry form faded into read and black wisps, Rose glanced up at the two remaining Ursa. Her sword started to glow as she swiping towards the two charging Grimm, sending blasts of cold that they swerved to dodge. One didn’t dodge well enough, however, and its foot was rooted in place. It set out to claw it free while its remaining “partner” attacked Rose head on. Each swipe was met with a swift block, and after the two traded strikes, Rose met each swipe with stab, causing the beast to howl in pain. It reared, slamming its paws down to Rose, who sliced them off in one stroke. The Grimm reeled, trying to stumble on its now useless front limbs, as Rose gently placed her sword upon its head. The Ursa shuddered as frost overtook its body, before the Huntress slammed the hilt of her sword into the now frozen head and shattered it. Looking up from the beast disintegrating, she blew her hair from her face just as the remaining creature was able to yank itself free. Having just watched two of his pack get killed, it roared in anger, spit flying everywhere as it charged. Rose took off as well, sprinting towards the beast and closing in very fast. The Urse drew its claw back as it neared, but it was too late, Rose leaped through the air with her sword down. It met with the Ursa and quickly sliced him in two, Rose taking no chance to rest and sheathing her sword as the beast disappeared behind her. She sighed softly, barely out of breath from the exercise, but still yawning. A uniformed man ran from a door to the side of the arena, carrying a towel and a sports bottle. “Ms. Patch, that was amazing! Your best time yet, do you need one of these?” he asked. She looked at him, eyelids drifting closed as she slowly linked. She simply pointed at the bottle, asking, “Coffee?” The man paused, then shook his head slowly. She smiled back, waving him off as she exited the arena.
