I saw it because I was a fan of the original transformers and... my friend insisted.

I don't understand how someone can't be insulted by that movie. The writers simply assumed that we, as a people, are too stupid to recognize the flaws in their storyline and thus could afford to be blatantly lazy. Too many things were just damn impossible. Plus, can you even tell me what that movie was about? I watched the entire movie and I still don't know. What were the underlying themes? Science is bad? Humans make mistakes so... you should forgive them for wanton murder?

I need more substance, not a bunch of pretty explosions and fights for no real purpose.
