"Sure thing honey. Don't forget to introduce us to your new friend, ok?" Zendra's father didn't mind that a complete stranger was sleeping in his daughter's bed. Just the fact that she even had a friend was enough to make him happy. As he exited the room to walk downstairs, Ariel began to stir. Blinking awake, the angel rubbed at her crimson eyes before looking up at her beloved. "How....when did I...?" She sat up slightly to take in her surroundings. She was asleep when Zendra brought her here, so it was only natural to be surprised. "Did....did you watch over me?" The thought was touching to say the least, even if it did make her turn away in shame. "Idiot. I'm the one who supposed to watch over you..." she muttered meekly. "Oh! That reminds me!" She turned back to Zendra with a wide grin on her face, eyes shining. "Those two harpies from before? I just sensed their life force slip away. They're dead! I killed them after all!" Well, not really something to celebrate, at least by normal standards. But then, why couldn't she kill them on instant contact?
