Surprised by this for just a moment Kurama's face changed to a surprised expression before it reverted back to his emotionless expression. He was being dragged so instinctively he reached out for something happening to grab the skeleton's leg. He was just about to let it go before he realized something. "You your the unfortunate soul who was trapped here before I was aren't you. Your angry because I tossed the newspaper into the void even though it most likely led to your demise as well." Kurama said. He did everything he could to slow down the rate he was being pulled even more so he could continue to question this spirit. He kept his grip on the skeleton thinking that if the two were really connected then surely the spirit wouldn't want the skeleton to fall into the void as well.

This new development caused Grant to stumble back in surprise and fall into a sitting position. He was fearful of the sudden appearance of the spirit before noticing that it was crying much like from before. Now he could make out what was being said which made him feel saddened. It also took him a second to make a connection between the spirit and the hanging dead girl. "E-e-excuse y-y-you mind if I ask w-who Naomi i-is. P-perhaps I could f-find h-her for you a-a-and bring her to you" Grant said to the spirit despite being very scared of her but still was offering to help her despite the fact that she was already dead. "Y-you know y-your not completely alone at the moment at least. Y-you got me and this guy here" Grant managed to get out attempting to cheer up the lone spirit. Of course he was also testing something since he was unsure if she could hear him or not.
