Lauren was unsure why the man would give just away over forty dollars like that. He must seriously have been in some major bind if that didn't bother him. Maybe he was very rich and could just afford to throw money around like that. She sighed, looking at the change she just made out of the fifty. He never said it was a tip, did he? He just said to keep the change. Her thoughts were interrupted briefly by the conflict breaking out between some of the guys, but as Dale seemed to have the situation under control, she went back to wondering about the money. She decided to write down the amount of it on her notepad along with the word "Tip?" before tearing out one of the sheets and placing it in her apron, watching the blonde girl that had ordered the cake walk towards the cafe's doors. 'I'll just ask Dale or the manager later about it. Right now, that's not my money... though it would be really nice if it was.' She then decided to put the money back into the register. It was still very early in the morning, and so much had happened already. Even if it was a one-off thing, it was definitely a difference from what she was used to while working here.
