Okay, I'm going to rant a little. I may up sounding like an elitist or a jerk, but I'm getting kind of ticked off here. El, I'm not typically a Nazi for post size, but your post last night was practically casual level. Not even high-casual from my experience. You could have done a lot more in the time you had, yet you didn't. Sure, you may have been tired, but did you consider letting it rest for a while? Half a day isn't that long and if you just had a small rest, your post could have potentially been much longer and with much better content. Everyone's been tired before and posts don't exactly help in this area, but most players here have been able to stably churn out long, earnest and thoughtful posts when they have the time to do it, ie, no exams, no trips, et cetera. And if I excuse the size of the post and its lateness (going so far as holding another, eager player back for a few days), I have a feeling that you haven't put much attention other to characters and the character you play here is only barely consistent with the character you wrote for the CS. Sure, it's perfectly excusable to play a character who deviates from what was written originally, but the amount of difference there is here is becoming simply astounding. You never mentioned your character knowing so many languages in the sheet and the personality seems almost like a completely different character. To boot, I don't feel like you're being very serious about this. I'm all for having fun, but I get the impression that you think this RP is almost like a joke and you refuse to communicate on the OOC for most things, or even join the Skype group as the GM probably requested. It definitely doesn't help that the OOC looks dead, but that's because we're all there. You're the exception to this rule. Even if you only drop in to ask a question about the RP, it's fine and aside from RPing, we have a pretty great little community going on there. Personally, some of the people I've met there have become pretty good friends of mine, despite the fact that I've never met them in person and that's the magic of RPing and one of the fundamental rules of it; it's easier, funner and more enjoyable to roleplay with someone you can call a friend and all RP's require communication. Even if you've never used Skype, just download the darn thing just for the group, so we're all on the same page. In short, you just don't seem very serious and in my experience, people like that are the first to drop out. Which, in this RP, would leave one human without a key and few ways to explain it. In particular, this would oblige us to kill off Oblivion's character, which I'm more than sure would infuriate her. Having a character you spent time and effort writing just to be ruined or disappear at the whim of someone else is simply the worst feeling you can get when RPing, with perhaps the exception of watching an RP you love die because of one or more bad apples. And please, I'm going to sound like a major jackass with this, but if you respond with a post with 'lol' in it one more time, I'm going to end up killing someone. From me and potentially many of the players here, thank you for considering and hopefully riposting in a positive manner to these words.
