In 9th grade a friend of mine convinced me to try out our high school's Anime Club with her. Back then my understanding of anime was extremely limited (I was really into Pokemon and Digimon and called that anime), so I decided to go to expand my horizons. They played a lot of epic anime in that club, showing a new series every week, and so I was able to learn of a lot of new titles really quickly. The rest is history. :lol
