Connor smiled, and wrapped his arms around her, listening as she drifted off to sleep, listening to the slow, even breathing that was pruly human. For once, he could listen to her heart beating, and he went to sleep easily, knowing that they were both human. Or mostly. He woke before the sun, once more finding Elizabeth sucking on his shoulder. He wondered if that was comforting for her, like a baby with their thumb or pacifier. He wasn't qualified to say so, but he smiled, and this time, he didn't make an effort to move away, but he did reach for his phone, turning it on and using it one handed.
