Mithias' cave crumbled away, revealing the scene. Mithias stood agasp. Over decades, Stein had orchestrated a grand and terrible plan, not to end the world, but for the primary purpose of killing Gabriel. The level of depth and power that would have to be called upon for such a thing... Stein literally had to open the gates of Heaven and Hell. Mithias took a few steps into a clearing amid the bodies, staring open-mouthed at the seraph above the wreckage of Terebithia. The floating warship wasn't what they all had to fear, it was that angel-like creation of Stein's and its entourage. The resultant destruction of the world was merely an unavoidable side affect, a worthy price to the mad scientist. "You..." Mithias trembled. He never did well with scenes of massive death and destruction. "You couldn't have! You monster!" Mithias crumpled down. He knew Stein wasn't bluffing. He never laughed when he was lying. Distraught, and pained by the fact that he had to give in, the vampire answered, "I will go, as you wish. Please, stop this. Please don't let this happen." Mithias knew he had no guarantees that Stein would do as he said, that he would not kill Mithias or the rest of his family in time, but with protocols snowballing into the release of heaven's greatest weapon and the destruction of the world, what choice was left?
