I think the idea of our techies fixing it up slowly over a period of time makes sense. I imagine that a couple of them would understand similar propulsion systems but would be used to dealing with large ship-board equivalents. The smaller design of the jetpack might prove difficult for them to work on and should mean Tzvi can't fix it up in half an hour. I'm content with this decision, more so than the idea of it working [i]sometimes[/i] for the aforementioned reasons.
