Yumi had no real care for what was going on around her. That one girl she helped pick up stuff for ran off and the other girl followed. The boorish (to Yumi at least) French kid had gotten off the bus shortly after she did. She didn't care for him much. From a few words she picked up after her started his monologue, he seemed to think too much of his home country. It wasn't exactly her problem though. She kicked up a very small amount of dust as she walked down the road a little. Further down she noticed the other boy. . . Joshua. "WATCH WHERE YOU'RE WALKING YOU SKINNY LOSER!" Even as far away as she was, that was something that could be made out. After a few more words the girl Joshua was with left. She didn't seem too angry. Reaching to where Joshua was Yumi had to ask, "So, does talking 'smack' and being a 'son of a gun' also make you a 'skinny loser'?" That was about as much of a joke as she could attempt to make in the half monotone she spoke. The boy would take it as he would, Yumi knew. She was interested in how he'd respond. He seemed fairly 'human'. Her job was to attend the academy, learn about academics, and figure out how to act human after all. She also attempted to smile again. It didn't seem to achieve the desired results the previous time. She wasn't so sure why though. One simply raises parts of their mouth into the desire form, the Tsukumogami thought. Yumi has yet to realize what a hollow smile she possessed.
