I was, in fact, asleep, given it was after one in the morning for me. I would appreciate not being insulted because I see something I feel is a problem that affects multiple people in the RP. I still have an issue with this. My character in that scene is, physically, not only not superhumanly durable in any way, but she is in fact about as durable as the average ten-year-old girl due to the physical form she has chosen and focuses entirely on her magic in order to keep up with just about everyone else. Her defensive spells are not passive and must be activated, and the only passive magic she has is her healing. She has absolutely no way to get out of this without being deafened and possibly suffering permanent hearing damage even though her healing would eventually take care of that. It would still cause severe pain and basically mean my next post is just covering that entirely. And that's a best-case scenario, because at worst something like a jet engine and a sonic boom so close by could potentially kill her. I don't care if he hasn't landed, this is a simulation and there is limited space even if it's simulating an entire city. And that's only concerning how it affects my character. There are other characters in the room who have no protection against this. Even in the best case scenario it brings the entire fight to a grinding halt(again, limited space even though he hasn't landed, everyone is going to hear this and be affected by it) because unless someone has a defense against it they're going to be holding their ears and in severe pain. At worst, the fight being halted isn't just temporary, it's completely ended here with no chance for the characters to really prove they're worthy of joining up. In fact, looking at your character, his power level seems extremely beyond any other player character. All he needs to do is run into a fight and he could easily win, given that a supersonic jet engine can kill people just by going near them. Even if they are superhumanly durable they're going to be stunned or even seriously injured. There is ignoring real physics to make something cooler and more workable, and then there's ignoring something explicitly defined by being based on real physics so it doesn't cripple or kill your character because you have no other choice, which is honestly what I'm left with at this point. This is not a personal problem with anyone, though I do feel somewhat insulted by certain people who seem to have decided I was just doing this to be mean. I genuinely feel this is a serious problem.
