Sue
John After Sue walks toward her classmates, Mimic stands shakily before falling once again. His wings move slightly, revealing a large shard of wood sticking out of his back. John immediately noticed his teacher's injury, and jumps into action. He suits up as he sprints toward Mimic, and then drops to his knees. John pulls out the 4 inch thick, 20 inch long piece of wood, then sticks his hands on either side of Mimic's chest. As the internal damage is healed and the blood stops flowing, John's head feels lighter and lighter. Once Mimic's wound is completely healed, John falls to the ground, unconscious.
Sue by reaction covered her mouth in shock. The wood that stuck out of Mr. Rankin was a horrifying sight. When Ben healed Mr. Rankin and passed out, Sue thought not to touch them. She was devastated. The one time she was finally felt free and alive, she nearly killed two people. It was a grim reminder that she could never return back to her normal life, and that her powers were a curse cast upon her. Her teary, red eyes and short, panicky breaths were obvious that she was upset. She did not mean to hurt them; she did not mean to hurt anyone or destroy anything. They were now outside the very building she destroyed, and she looked up to see the damage. More of the building was caving in, and students kept watching Sue. The volume was getting loud as people started to talk amongst each other, talking about her, talking about the state of Mimic, people screaming, the wood and metal cracking and bending. Her heart was racing, and she was scared, she was amplifying everything she heard again. She clasped her ears, and ran off. She ran away from the crowd, away from the hateful eyes. Her so-called friends must hate her now, her teachers distrustful, her father disappointed. She ran to her room far away from everyone else’s. She exited the elevator and ran into her room. Her caretakers stood guard by the entrance of the building. No one was to come in. Sue fell to the ground and curled into a ball , and cried heavily in her sound-absorbing prison. She cried heavily, but silently. The sweet return of her old life today was unwarranted and unwanted. Her life could never be the same again.
