Done.
Name: Svetlana Venediktov Age: 19 Appearance: Svetlana (left) and a member of her old unit, Mina Kalaska Svetlana is blessed with a very ample chest, a shapely body and an attractive, if lazy face. She often braids her long, dark hair into a ponytail that she hangs over her shoulder. She generally wears basic Orussian Army fatigues (bar trousers, as per Joint Strike Witches regulation) and dress crush cap, hardly ever stepping out in civvies. She also uses her old combat kit in addition to her Striker Unit, complete with extra armour plating for her arms, shoulders and... breasts. The Orussian Army protects it's assets. Nation: Empire of Orussia Rank: Stárshiy Serzhánt (Senior Sergeant/OR-7) Striker Unit: T-72 MBT Unit (refurbished unit, somewhat obsolete) Weapon: 2A46 125mm Smoothbore Gun, mounted on an over-the-shoulder rack with 12.7mm coax AAMG Svetlana is rather prone to lamping the enemy with her gun, her face and even empty vodka bottles. Magical Ability: Brute Force Svetlana is not naturally gifted with the finesse required to use magic precisely. However she does have quite a large amount of latent energy that she can call upon in times of need. She can focus all of that energy into a part of her body and then release it at will, generating a massive amount of kinetic force. However this energy rapidly dissipates, reducing her effective range to a few inches; as such this ability can only be used in close combat. Even when not focusing on a single point, Svetlana instinctively uses her magic to boost her physical strength. She can lift and move objects far larger than a girl her age should be able to. In summary, Svetlana can punch really, really hard. Animal Familiar: Brown bear Personality: Svetlana is a relaxed and outgoing adult who works hard to be a big sister figure to her squadmates, often going so far as to do all of their cooking, cleaning and other household chores when off duty. However this mother hen attitude contrasts dramatically to when she's been on the vodka. After a couple of bottles, Svetlana becomes gushingly affectionate and touchy-feely; this can be a pretty serious problem due to her monstrous strength. Overall Svetlana tries to take a motherly path with her friends regardless of their rank, a habit that has cost her. She was once Leytenánt of her own unit, but got busted to Stárshiy Serzhánt for getting too familiar with a very senior officer while drunk... and yet Svetlana has still not learned her lesson. Bio/History: The Venediktov family has a long and illustrious history of military service dating back to the early days of the Orussian Tzardom. Many have served in the Imperial family's household guard and to date not a single generation has passed without at least one Venediktov rising to the rank of Polkóvnik or Colonel. Svetlana may well be the end of her family's honourable reputation. Raised in St Petersburg to be the exemplar of a warrior noble, Svetlana spent much of her life studying military tactics and developing her martial ethos. Before she joined the Imperial Army, she was a highly disciplined and severe girl as her family demanded of her. Behind her spartan veneer however, Svetlana never really understood why she had to be a soldier, why history had so much bearing on how her life was to play out; indeed her private dream that she never confided in anyone was to work in a school. Everything changed when she passed out of her officer's training and went out with the other newly commissioned Mládshiy Leytenánts for a night in Moscow. In hindsight, if her family had allowed her a taste of alcohol here and there when she was growing up, perhaps Svetlana wouldn't have gotten quite so utterly hammered that night. While the exact details of what transpired are lost to history and a ton of vodka, the fact remains that Svetlana awoke the next day, half-naked in a ditch and a changed woman. Her superiors were horrified with her sudden change of attitude, as she began to drink copious amounts while on duty and spent long nights getting drunk with her troops. In order to keep her out of trouble and out of sight, Svetlana was transferred to an outpost in Siberia. With a lack of responsibilities and a large amount of alcohol on hand, it was the perfect assignment for her. The Witches she had been assigned to lead were all as equally unsuitable for real military service as the Leytenánt herself; truants, idiots, drunkards... It was heaven for the wannabe slacker. Over time Svetlana grew more and more attached to her troops, seeing them more as her family than soldiers. In the end it was that lack of professionalism that was the last nail in the proverbial coffin. A Podpolkóvnik (Lieutenant Colonel) of the Imperial Army was sent to the outpost to perform an audit and test the readiness of it's garrison. She was a harsh woman and a personal friend of Svetlana's own equally harsh mother... Sufficed to say, the garrison was very much drunk when the Podpolkóvnik arrived and events transpired that effectively ended Svetlana's career as an officer. Said events may or may not have involved vodka, groping and an off-key rendition of the Orussian national anthem with dirty lyrics. It was only after her subsequent demotion that her family was finally informed of Svetlana's actions and drinking habit. Their response was swift; within a day of her court martial, Svetlana was officially disowned by the Venediktov family and stripped of all rights and inheritance. Not that she particularly cared, as she was already brokenhearted from being separated from her surrogate family at the outpost... Even they had been split up, some discharged, others reassigned. If any of the Army's punishments had really hurt her, it was that. With the disbandment of her unit and the general undesirability of her service record, the Army didn't know where to assign Svetlana until after the sinking of the Kiev. With such a massive loss of manpower on the Iraqi front, reserve Witches from throughout the country were called up and deployed to the region. Svetlana herself was assigned to a newly formed Joint Strike Unit, the 707th. As JSUs were notorious for continuously being in the thick of the combat, perhaps her superiors were hoping that she might become another statistic, conveniently wiping away the stain on their honour. But if Svetlana Venediktov is anything, aside from drunk, she is hard to kill.
I'll keep adding and tweaking for a while.
