Meh, a small technicality that I will overlook. I'm actually not that familiar with American ranks, so I usually have to go to wikipedia for the information. But thanks for letting me know!

You could do some know it all Britainian from an academy come to join the war using a Tornado. That would be a start at least.

Perhaps the 707th is Svetlana's second and last chance to stay in the war? You could talk about her former unit, any past combat or noncombat experiences and perhaps tell an origin to her drinking habit? Doesn't have to be dark or anything, it can just be something to type about and get your brain going.
