the man goes through and cuts the scales free patch by patch, relieving pressure and decreasing her pain with each patch of scales as he makes sure to stop the bleeding and apply a gauze covering to each one after disinfecting each. "maybe the illness is aggravating your powers to defend you?" the man suggests evenly as he deals with a patch on her hand
