A new day came, and the young Harker found himself again on the palace grounds, after he had a good night's rest and prepared himself for a good time. He passed again through an empty throne room to make his passage to the Grand Hall, where gathered a crowd was coming together for merriment by appetizing themselves with small snacks and few sips of wine. Gareth's stomach tugged him then towards the long table of food, where he snuck a plum that he now ate intermittently, himself meandering about through the crowd. The bowman didn't yet notice Thomas or Karl quite yet, although he figured they would be in attendance what with their work and intent. He was certain he made a good decision in coming to the palace that morning, for the sun bathed Gareth in its warmth even through a thin, split blanket of clouds and promised a good day.
