You're getting caught up on things, Firo. Kingsridge doesn't have to function like a traditional high school. They teach magic. Besides, by the time they are taking those fewer classes, they have completed the four years of basic "high-school level" education anyway, and are approaching classes in a post-secondary manner (meaning individual research takes up most of their time). They are done with the general ed, they did all that in the earlier years. The next two are only about the disciplines they are most passionate about, and having fewer allows them to spend much more time on each. That makes sense, right? EDIT: Overall, from enrollment to final, post-secondary graduation, students spend six years at Kingsridge: 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and then two years of advanced study. Maybe there can be an intermediate graduation at the 12th grade level, for those who don't want to go through the advanced study period? EDIT 2: This is still just a suggestion, though. HOAL has yet to approve or disapprove.
