Kats mouthed flapped open and closed like a fishs, the comment about the kind-of-kiss repeating in her mind. No, Daniel was just teasing her again, right? There was no way he actually meant what he'd said, right? She glanced over at him, her cheeks going red, depsite her cursing and hating herself for it. Goddamnit! She was not one of those girly girls thinking about boys all day long and blushing at the mere mention of kissing. Well, sure, she had not been kissed yet, and even Kat had to admit Daniel was rather handsome, but they had been friends forever! It would be like kissing a brother, she was sure of that. She reached out for the sandwich. "No need to eat it then, if you don't want to." she told him with a scowl, not sure how she was supposed to react. She wanted to tease him mercilessly, but somehow, she couldn't come up with any witty or teasing comments. And she wasn't sure why she seemed to be pouting now. She cleared her throat and took her hand back, sitting upright, meaning she was taking her head off of Daniels shoulder and glancing around, at a loss for words. She cleared her throat uncomfortably. Then glanced at Daniel, trying to see how he was reacting to this. She kenw it was strange to be getting so serious over a joke, but then again, had it really been just a joke? She couldn't say. A lot of what she herself said teasingly was actualy truly what she thought and she wondered whether it was the same for Daniel. She coughed, her cheeks heating u in embarrassment at the awkward moment and shifted away, starting to get up. "I.. I guess we should head back.." he murmured, though she really would have stayed a lttle longer instead of going to the classroom full of people .
