Also, I was having some shower thoughts and realized that the argument could be made that the higher tier weapons like Blade's greatsword and Cub's hammer would actually be lighter than their steel counter parts. The main reason weapons are heavier in Skyrim is because the weapon does more damage. It's a balancing mechanic. But in reality a heavier weapon in its class is actually an inferior one. And we don't use a damage system so it's pointless to use that mechanic. Seeing as Blade's sword was made by the Dwemer in whatever alternate reality they were in, it makes more sense that his weapon would be made of some kind of light weight but durable alloy as opposed to a metal that's technically inferior than steel.
