"I could try them, see of they kill me?" Shayre spoke morbidly, but heroically in all senses. Jane did not think he needed to sacrifice himself. They had only been living here so long, or at least, it appeared so. For all Jane knew, Shayre could be on a suicide mission with those fruits. She looked at Akuma and Luna, who seemed eager to find out if the fruit was poisonous or not, but they both seemed hesitant at the same time. Jane could relate to their facial expressions. Jane was thinking maybe Shayre did not care if he died. They were already stranded in some strange land, as if some sick person had trapped them here for wild entertainment. She had read conspiracy theories about Aliens using humans in zoos, as entertainment. She had not seen any Alien spectators, but. . Had she really been kidnapped by Aliens? She shuddered the thought away, letting the dark cloud of confusion overshadow her thoughts. If Aliens had captured them--No, she wouldn't think that far. Food and water first. Shayre was right, and so was her stomach. The water cooled down her system, felt refreshing but God she was hungry. A small, forced, whispered laugh escaped Jane's lips as Shayre agreed with her commentary on the mossy water. The laugh was out of hesitation and anticipation of being put into third wheel, but the other two seemed less hungry, less worried as Shayre and she were. . Of course, they were both presented in much better condition. "Would such large fruit be so poisonous?" She bit her bottom lip for speaking, out of hunger, desperation. "I can wait a little longer. . I--I don't think you should sacrifice yourself," he seemed to be the only one with ideas. He was the leader figure already, despite his head injury. His male status seemed to push an alpha status on him, already. He seemed so logical. She wondered if she had forced that laugh earlier to prove she was alpha female? Again, another thought that doesn't need to be in her head, she pushed it away, again, "I don't want to see you die," she said glumly. But there was no other way to find out if the fruit was edible, and they were surely going to die if they did not eat within the next day or two. Food was not going to magically sprout from the ground. She bit her bottom lip, after speaking, again, as a nervous habit that seemed to be developing in these conditions. "I'm so hungry. . "She paused pushing the palms of her hands to her face, covering it, "I don't know!" She could only imagine him eating and then dying shortly after. But oh God, her stomach. The more she thought about the fruit, the hungrier she became. She pulled her hands from her eyes, and covered her mouth, breathing in the smell of her skin, which seemed to calm her down, "I'm sorry, this is all--" "So confusing?" Luna interjected, "It's alright. I am pretty sure the fruit is not poisonous. That's my opinion anyways." Jane stared at Luna, not sure if she should believe any of the comforting words Luna had just spoken or not.
