Miyoshi flew in silence to the carrier. For one, there wasn't much to say, but she was also thinking about Overwatch's words about how the entire attack was merely a diversion. She wondered where the squadron would be sent next, and if for the entirely of the war they would merely be playing defense, trying to prevent the UN forces from being completely wiped out by the UNWO attacks. As the squadron entered the carrier's control range, Miyoshi expected a normal aircraft carrier, like the ones she had landed on many times while in Japan. What she was greeted with was far different, appearing more like something out a science fiction novel than an aircraft carrier. In addition, the squadron learned that it would have to land going head on for the carrier. Mistakes, it seemed, would be a one-way ticket to Heaven. Worse, Miyoshi had carrier experience, but never flying something as massive as her Foxbat - even her lightened, combat-ready, carrier capable Foxbat. At best, the ride would be hairy. It seemed the squadron was developing a trend of doing a few practice flybys before actually attempting the landing, and Miyoshi gladly followed suit. After she was as prepared and confident as she thought she would become, she began her final approach. Remaining completely silent as she bled altitude and airspeed, she soon had her landing gear down and began to pitch up, feeding a little power sporadically when necessary. Fortunately, she stuck the landing, catching an arrestor cable and safely decelerating. The plane was towed to the elevator as Miyoshi began powering down, and was soon in the hangar. It was definitely more cramped than a normal carrier, as her squadron mates had already observed. Arriving at a complete stop, she climbed out of her plane which was by now completely powered down, glancing at the rear tail and patting the fuselage twice as she went down. Looking around and seeing the two other Excaliburs that had already landed, Miyoshi stood idle and did what they seemed to be doing - watching the rest of the squadron land.
