I intended the background to be brief, kind of failed though, my bad. Name: James Boone Age: 28 Gender: Male Race: Caucasian American Appearance: Click Me! Clothing: James is wearing pretty much the same outfit he's seen wearing in the picture above, although they are obviously now worn and both the shirt and jeans have slight rips in places. What is not shown in the picture is the black leather jacket James wears over the shirt due to the cold conditions of Washington. The jacket also provides additional storage for ammo, food and the like, a definite bonus in the dangerous new world. Aside from the jacket James also possesses a brown duffel bag in which he carries on his back and keeps near all of his supplies in. The only times he takes the bag of his back is when he's either driving or sleeping. Lastly James wears a wedding band on a leather necklace that he keeps tucked under his shirt. His upbringing wasn't anything to talk about, it wasn't abnormal but it wasn't boring, it's just nothing to write on. Growing up James developed a love for knowledge, mostly in the form of reading. He read and read and read until he knew everything there was to know about something. When he finally got through school and moved on to college he decided he wanted to be a teacher and so took the steps he needed to in order to be one. It wasn't hard for him to land a job as a teacher, it was normally a hard job, in inner city Baltimore it was an insanely difficult occupation. James wanted to quit after his first week. He kept at it though and as time went by he found numerous ways to reach the kids he found in his classroom. The job became easier as time passed, even if it was difficult when some of the kids who had relied on him had to move on from middle school. When the outbreak came James did what he could to get his closest loved ones out of the city. There were five of them at first. His wife, his daughter, his mother and one of his students who due to being an orphan had spent most of his life in a group home. His mother didn't make it out of the city which unsurprisingly damaged James, for a little while it was his wife who had to see to their survival. Time passed and things got bad then terrible then bad and then terrible and kind of repeated like that. By the time James found himself alone four months into the apocalypse he was barely a shadow of the man he had been. Time progressed and all James did was survive, he killed walkers, scavenged for food and five months in even murdered a man who had tried to mug him. James didn't know himself any more, he didn't feel like he was doing any of the things he was responsible for. For nearly three months he just travelled, not really living but being all the same. Things got a little bit brighter when he came into contact with a couple of survivors a little ways outside of Washington. He had failed to scavenge anything to eat for a couple of days and then on the third day he had been attacked by yet another bandit on the road. Apparently scouting him coming the man sprung a trap. James came across yet another garage on his trip to Washington and decided to head in and scavenge. Upon entering the bandits came from behind the door and hit James on the lower back with a plank of wood, dropping him and causing great pain. It took James only a second to roll onto his back but that was enough time for the bandit to come at him again, smashing him across the face with the wood. The second blow knocked James out, he didn't wake up until two days later, for some reason in the back seat of a car. At first he was terrified, thinking that maybe the bandit had kidnapped him, but after taking a few seconds to calm down he realized that neither of the faces belonged to the person who had attacked him. They weren’t even of the same gender. As they had told him later the two sisters had gone in the garage the same as he had looking for food and had found him there beaten and bloodied. Slowly they nursed him back to health, showing him a kindness that he hadn't seen in what seemed like a very long time. For a time James stayed with them, regaining his health and eventually actually being useful to them. They reminded him of what he had lost in himself and slowly his heart began getting gradually warmer again as James become ferociously protective of the sisters. When the next bandit attack came like they knew it always would James had a different reason for surviving. It was no longer just basic survival but controlled instinct. He began killing aggressors angrily, passionately, it was sad and horrendous yet an improvement on the thing he had been before. Little more than an animal. Like everything their time soon came to an end though, with bandits attacking with vengeance in mind for those James had killed previously. In their revenge attackers they managed to kill one of the sisters, the other died when she decided to follow the bandits and kill as many as she could. She took down a fair few but was killed nevertheless. In anger James now spends his time partly scavenging and partly hunting the bandits. He kills the bandits ruthlessly, trying to fill a void that can't be filled. Occupation Pre-Apocalyse: English Teacher
