Daniel ate his meal alongside Alex, it not too bad by Waffle House standards, and given that he was on the run, he couldn't afford to be too choosy. It was good enough, and it filled him up, which was important for when they had to move on. He wanted to do it on a full stomach, with the energy it could provide, not running with an empty tank and all. When she pointed out the tv he glanced over to look, sighing as he saw the caption. "Of course we are," he muttered, and a quick flick of his hand saw the screen change channels before anyone noticed. Fortunately, that sort of thing was easy. "Well, at least they didn't claim we're terrorists or a national security threat. That should be some relief for your friends and family. I mean, getting kidnapped is horrible, but it's better than knowing that your child is a wanted terrorist." It hurt to be cyncial like that, but it was the truth.
