The cake had been okay, though Takeshi barely finished his single piece. Shu was munching away at his second once presents were announced, the little guy could probably eat the entire thing if he was allowed to. Throwing out the disposable plate and utensils he'd used the Saiyan turned to watch Viral open his gifts, smiling faintly as he watched on. The Beastman seemed to be enjoying himself, or at the very least not hating the party. Good, maybe he'd be happy later on, which considering his gift and request Takeshi sure hoped the guy would be. "We'll get you cake another time, okay?" he replied, not looking at Shu initially. When he glanced over and saw the pout he groaned inwardly, placing a hand on his face and sighing. "Don't pout like that... Sheesh, how am i supposed to say no to my little brother like that?" Chuckling Takeshi nodded his head, reaching over and ruffling his sibling's hair. "I'll get one made for your birthday, when we get back again. I'll get you whatever kind of cake you want." Their party would be much smaller, if it could be helped. Really it would be fine by him if it were just himself and Shu, though the latter probably wanted their friends in attendance as well. "No clue how to make one really. I'd just buy a cake," he added, shrugging his shoulders dismissively. Yumi waited with baited breath after she handed her gift over, nervous that Viral may somehow dislike the gift. Giving him a hug she nodded as an urge for him to open up the box, smiling hopefully. When he finally did open them and he asked she was more than ready to explain, she was quite excited. "Well... I had no idea what to get you, so I figured some clothes. But you don't wear a lot, and I decided it would have to be something you'd use often. I saw a picture of us and that outfit and remembered how much you liked it, and how it was ruined. So... I shopped around a bit and managed to pick up pieces that are nearly identical to the original!" The first had been custom made, and these would have been too had they more than a day to plan in advance. Ah well, he liked them, so that was a plus! With a playful wink she folded her hands behind her back, shifting her weight on her feet idly. "You're very welcome Viral. I hope not, but we can always get them fixed if they do get ripped. I'm just glad you like them." Heh, and to think she had managed to slip all of those in the bags they had been lugging around yesterday. She'd bought a piece here and there to keep the Beastman from noticing, and apparently it had worked. There were still a few presents left, and now Ikura was going to have his turn at it. Grabbing his own gift from the stack he stood before Viral, looking at the Beastman quite happily as he offered over the box. "It's rather simplistic, I'll admit, but I hope you can get some use out of it," he said kindly. Like Yumi he had to rush order this item, and there had just by chance been someone in the city who sold it. Inside the container Viral would find a small, coarse rock, oils and cloths and a voucher. "That's to repair and sharpen your cleaver with, if you ever need," the doctor explained, referring to the first few items. "The latter is for a blacksmith that can help refine your blade even further. Admittedly it's not the highest quality, I'm surprised it's lasted as long as it has. Bringing it to someone to get it tempered and refitted could do wonders for you." Now it was his turn to hug the Beastman, doing so casually and with no trepidation. Releasing Viral from his grip Ikura chuckled, ruffling his hair once more with a kind look. "I'm so proud of how you've turned out, Viral. You've exceeded both mine and Aito's dreams as a man, and I know you'll only go up from here."
