The way I read it he wasn't saying "build my character for me." but rather "Here are my ideas if you'd rather see one more than the other might as well say so." if I'm misreading the situation and he's actually crying for help during character creation, then yeah he should probably reconsider his character selection or whatever.

Some people can just make characters and do what they want with them with no regard to player opinion outside of "Does my sheet or history or whatever interfere with yours and if so how can we rectify it?" others just like to gather popular opinion on which of their ideas would be the most appreciated and go for it; now I'm not saying one should be afraid to do something others might not like, some of my best experiences have been when another writer told me they'd [i]hated[/i] my idea at first and ended up coming around to it because of how well I wrote it, but why not, in an RP like this where you're surrounded by experience and knowledge and all that, ask for opinions so you don't end up ostracized because you don't ship Tony Stark with Captain America or something?
