I hate this shit as much as Sherlock/Watson in the BBC Series. Why can't two men have a close, bonded relationship without romantic attachments being forced to be involved? Sherlock is worse than Avengers because Moffat is a shitty, fanbaiting, half-assed writer so keeps teasing the gay aspect while steering clear of actually saying one way or the other. But generally I hate this bullshit 'they're not friends they're [i][b]gay[/i][/b]' shipping fad.

Edit: And don't take this a gay-bashing, either. It mostly stems from my own personal intensely close relationship with my best friend of 9 years, and how it's incredibly difficult to show the deep-seated but non-romantic affection I hold for him without constant jokes being cracked about our secret homosexual affair.
