Rennac had finished taking another few notes down on his datapad when Dresden shouted at him, turning to face the engineer. Despite the attitude he was getting he tried to remain cheery and disarming. "Hey, Dresden was it? Never got your name before. Anyway, just running an assessment of the security measures for the ship for my report to Varus. Checking camera positions, finding blindspots, etc. Command wanted an analysis for any potential weakpoints so they can be patched up, both physical and digital. Logically that includes the quarters wing so I have to do an assessment here as well. I of course give as much leeway as I can to keep tempers to a minimum. No one likes having the security guy poking around but I'm the guy stuck with the job." In all honesty he was still doing his assessment and was under orders from command to fix any issues. Of course it would likely go beyond finding blind spots and installing new security features. If Dresden still had issue with him being there then more than likely it would need to be sent up as part of the report. Typically when someone takes offense to a security guy poking around it means they either have something personal to hide, or they are hiding something far more critical. Considering the consequences for letting it slide on the latter, it would likely at least get looked into.
