Shalodud was such a funny place, desiring to kill a man for protecting himself from a chandelier. Sure it was magic, sure it caused people to get hurt. But one death and several hurt is a lot better than several dead. But then again, that was some pretty poor magic that boy had cast, sheesh. If Sali could do magic like that, he'd know how to do it a lot better than THAT. Sheesh! Talk about collateral. Sali himself had been hopping across roofs since last night, avoiding the public eye. Several times dipping his staff down from a rooftop to bob some silly woman on her head to get the husband in trouble, or misplace a doohickey a street vendor was attempting to sell. Stuff like that, really, really got Sali smiling. His smile sorta drooped when everyone started gathering toward the center. Considering last night's events, Sali could only imagine what was going to happen. He went his way across some roof when he saw a chase going on down below. Some girl... Boy, ... Thing, was running. Sali saw an opportunity and jumped down from the rooftop to bonk one of the guards on the head with his staff hard enough to knock him out. When the other man turned to look at him Sali was gone, silly little illusion dancing behind him. With that, he made his way back into and through the crowd, invisible. The only hints to his presence was the sound of his breathing and the fact he still cast a damned shadow.
