All of a sudden, the flow of the piano's music came to a halt. The chatter in the auditorium died down almost immediately after that as everyone scurried their way back into their seats. Leaning back, Alois focused his attention on a middle-aged man as he made his way up the stage. Presumably the principle, he cleared his throat and fixed his microphone to mouth-level. “Welcome students of Saitou Academy. I apologize for the delay. Last minute preparations were being made.” Alois listened attentively, leaning forward as if to hear the man speak more clearly. As the principle introduced himself, Alois mentally noted down his name for future reference, Takashi Saitou. Alois smiled to himself as Takashi presented a slide show of all the commodities available for the students all year round. "Neat, pristine and orderly" Alois said to himself quietly, silently praying his future dorm-mate would not be one hell of a mess to clean up after. “Now for the preparations.. To give all of you a warm welcome, we have prepared a fireworks show for all of you. It will start at eight this evening. You are free to WATCH it from your balconies, however, we will leave the door to the rooftop open in case any of you preferred to watch it there. Once again, welcome, and I hope for a good school year.” With that, a round of applause had ended the semi-elaborate speech. Alois excused himself and followed the crowd as they all clambered through the auditorium to get to their classrooms. Keeping in mind the firework show that was scheduled to happen later that night, Alois could barely contain his excitement. He had brought his camera for selfie purposes, and also for other miscellaneous events such as this. Beaming, he pranced his way happily through the hallways. It didn't take long for Alois to miserably realize he had been lost for the past ten minutes that he had been dancing around the hallways, ending up at god-knows-where. Cautiously scanning his surroundings, he seemed to have ended up at the dimmest part of the academy. Chills ran down his spine as he noticed that he was also alone. In a semi-paralyzed state, at that moment he had felt a pair of eyes watching him from the staircase that was barely even lit. Craning his head backwards from where he came, he quickly decided that today would definitely not be the day he died. Gaining a quicker pace, he hummed a happy song as he backtracked. Making my way downtown~ I'm walking fast, faces past and I'm homebo- Screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech... Alois didn't need to look back or think about his next move- He let out a manly squeal and gunned it for any other direction that wasn't behind him. ---------- By the time Alois had reached a fairly-lit area, he encountered a young girl who seemed to have quite a depressing aura surrounding her as she sat on the ground, propped up against the wall. Reaching out his hand to help her up, simultaneously the girl who had her head down between her knees had cried out in frustration. Alois, who had presumably been chased earlier, was taken aback at this sudden burst of expression. I think I've had enough for now... Taking a step back, he continued to make his way across the other side of the school, back to where the auditorium was. His mind and body still recovering from the traumatic event, he muttered to himself as he entered the brightly-lit auditorium. This academy's bloody HAUNTED. He screamed that last part out loud in his head, accompanied with a sharp intake of breath. Leaning against the door frame, flustered, sweaty and out of breath, he peered around the auditorium to see the red-head he had noticed earlier standing in a fixed position in the middle of the auditorium. Squinting his eyes to see clearer, he waved frantically, happy to have finally found a student who he could brave the dark, huge labyrinth they called the academy, with. Atleast, he smirked, if ever that thing catches up to me, I'd have someone else to offer up- he grinned to himself. The red-head finally noticed the blonde boy waving like a madman. Alois gestured for her to follow him, as he realized the principle's office had been right across the auditorium, obscured behind two huge ferns that could've been easily dismissed as some other room. The red-head obliged, running through the exit. The red-head scratched the back of her head in embarrassment as Alois presented to her the door to the principle's office. "It's alright. I've been out here for nearly thirty minutes and I didn't expect the office to be right there," Alois stated, pointing to the door, "...either." he completed in a defeated tone. ---------- Entering the office and recounting the effort it took for Alois to get there (contrary to miss red-head), Alois collapsed on the nearest armchair as his body gave up on itself.
