Conner had realized he had some time before class actually started, so he'd decided to go walking around the school to get familiar with the layout. Soon, he was walking around the back part of the school with his hands in his pockets, whistling a videogame song he'd picked up from somewhere. He had to admit he was kind of bored, usually his days where a lot busier then this; by this point in the day he'd finally settled down after getting all of the other kids ready for school and then he got to read or something for maybe a half an hour before he had to make lunch. He looked around and noticed this part of the school was still dimly lit, as if they weren't expecting anyone to be back here yet. It was more then a little bit creepy. He hadn't been expecting that. There was a loud scritch of his shoes on the linoleum floor as he nearly lost his balance and fell down. Just as he was about to say something, the other student suddenly became very frightened and took off down the hall out of sight, with a harsh squeal that echoed through the entire half of the school. Conner just stood there in the middle of the staircase, stunned. "What the hell?"
