Appearance: Tall and lanky with shoulder length silver hair, sharp blue eyes, pointed ears, decently agile build. Name: Treavor Snowborn Race: Half Elf Age: 158 Class: Artificier Alignment: Chaotic Good Background: Having been discardes as a product of wedlock, Teavor had been an orphan for as long as he could remember. As such he lived at a rather run down and poorly maintained orphanage. He and the others were made to do a good deal of the repairs, something the young half elf excelled at. A few months before he turned 18 and would be kicked out one of the magistrates came in for an inspection as well as an artificier hired to help make designs to renovate and generally improve the town. Seeing the place in shambles the matron was fired right on the spot, the artificier tuning out and looking around when he spotted Treavor working on one of the magitech water filters. It was something he had some understanding with so it seemed to typically be his job to deal with magical repairs when hiring a wizard proved too expensive, which it often was. The artificer looked at the boy's progressed and smirked, surprised by how well he took to repairing magitech. "The magic frequency is off. You set it too high you'll make the pipe vibrate and shake the rust off and into the water." The half elf looked up in surprise and began to tweak the filter as told, smirking as he managed to get the damnable thing working a good deal sooner than expected. "Thanks, seems I get stuck with the grunt work here. Place woud have likely fallen apart long ago if I wasn't around." The artificier had to nod and agree, looking back and seeing the matron packing her things. An idea then came to mind. "Say kid, you got a talent for artificing. Care for an apprenticeship?" Treavor looked up at the artificier in disbelief at first, then giving him a confident smile. "Sure. Place is gonna be shut down from the looks of it anyway. Let me grab my things." After hat the young half elf was taught how to repair magitech properly, built his own rune arm and even picked up a few skills for when he had to travel through dangerous territory. He learned to use a bastard sword considerably well along with a repeating crossbow in addition to repairing magical constructs. He had even built his own Iron Defender pet which he had trained into a faithful companion. He had lost a few parts here and there but replaced them with magitech machines, particularly his right arm and two legs. Once his apprenticeship was finished he was hired on by an adventurer group which had a rogue in it's ranks. Soon enough Treavor leaned the ins and outs of lockpicking and disabling traps, something that seemed to lead him to no end of trouble. Being a half elf he was always an outcast, no one really bothering to speak to him. What made matters worse was the way he saw fellow half elves getting treated. He took a few jobs that targeted those who hurt half elf groups, costing them piles and piles of gold until they could no longer support their business. Typically half his cut went to help the neighborhoods that those people hurt. Now he works as an adventurer for hire, only taking the job if it helped people eve if it were helping the people against some corrupt official. Weapons: Bastard sword and repeating crossbow paired with a rune arm. Other: Rune arms are typically used to help artificiers channel magic for their repair jobs. They can also be re purposed to serve as spell augments and sources of imbuement magic for their weapons. An artificier's skill with crafting allows them to even weave enchantments onto the weapons and armor of others, sharpening their blades or making their armor feel lighter and less cumbersome. However, they cannot use a shield with their rune arms and are vulnerable if ganged up on. To compensate artificiers tend to have an iron defender to protect them, keeping them out of harms way as they work to provide covering fire and support to a group or even protect them as they disarm a trap or pick a lock. It is common for artificiers to augment their own bodies with magitech though only to a small scale, which allows them to repair their own bodies much as one would with full magical constructs.
