Sue was shocked to see that Batman could sign. Why she should be shocked, she thought to herself, when the man was a genius and has taken on foes greater than he was. The Batman was calm with a collective face, but she knew he was analyzing her from head to toe, a matter of deduction that she could not fathom. 

She did not even realize that she was tearing up again, as the tears rolled down her face while signing: [i]”Because of the damage I caused to the buildings and Mr. Rankin.”

“I didn’t mean to, I swear! I didn’t think I could cause that much damage. Is Mr. Rankin and everyone okay?”[/i] she followed up.
