Kael Allorn Gender: Male Age: 16 Appearance: Personality: Kael, despite what most people think, is extremely laid back, to the point where he is oftentimes not shocked or surprised by anything, and remains unfazed to almost any situation. He sometimes forgets to take into consideration what other people would want, which leads to some (humorous) events where he may go and buy something for himself that not only he needed - but everyone else needed it too. This especially applies to food - the main cause of these altercations. His personality tends to lead people to believe that he doesn't do anything, which is incorrect. Kael is an avid battler, but only truly shows it when he is battling. During Pokémon battles; trial or otherwise, he assesses his opponents moves, and has his Pokémon exploit the openings that they have at the time. He also becomes much more serious, and considers different scenarios in his head before actually commanding his Pokémon. Kael has one many battles against people who give him battle requests, assuming that he will automatically lose, but he subsequently proves them wrong. Sadly, this type of seriousness and focus only applies to battles, and doesn't have much hold in any other situation. Backstory: Kael was born to a family of Pokémon battlers within Twinleaf town. His mother and father were both avid Pokémon Trainers, and this reflected by the fact that they were always having Pokémon battles in their spare time. Because he was able to watch, this obviously had an influence on Kael; he too became interested in the prospect of Pokémon battles. Since that early age, Kael didn't seem as energetic as most children in most aspects, the only thing that truly made him excited was witnessing a Pokémon battle between trainers. Oftentimes at an early age, his parents would secretly take him and their Pokémon to Lake Verity; where he would have the privilege of being able to command their Pokémon to use attacks on nearby foliage, as a result Kael had a slight advantage in Pokémon moves and battle tactics than most other children would have. The lack of children to play with resulted in Kael being around Pokémon more often than people of his age. And the fact that he was mainly interested in battling did not help this fact. As he grew older, Kael attended the Trainer school, and utilized his knowledge of type advantages, and moves to the fullest. What he learned in Trainer school added to his extra knowledge from several years ago, and he had already reached an above average level in terms of trial battles with his peers, and another form of learning known as battle theory - where you are given Pokémon battle scenarios, and must give an answer which would improve your situation in the battle, or win it completely. Upon reaching legal trainer age, Kael did not yet retrieve his own Pokémon - he instead borrowed one of his parents Pokémon, in order to gain even more battle practice. The Pokémon was a Drapion, violent, yet controlled. Together they could be seen fighting wild Pokémon in both inside and outside of Twinleaf town. This went on for weeks, until Kael decided he was ready for his own Pokémon. Whereas most would hesitate to speak with Professor Rowan, Kael was oblivious to his seriousness and intimidating tendencies. When he was given the opportunity to receive his Pokémon, he obviously took it. The Professor had told him to gather his supplies, and come back at a later date when all the Pokémon were actually ready to be handed out. So Kael did wait, and is finally ready to become a fully fledged Pokémon trainer. Starter Pokemon: Nidoran♂ Why you want that starter: The starter would suit his personality. It's an aggressive Pokémon which tends to be used in battles, which Kael would use. It would come as a surprise to most other trainers, since people see him as the last person that would want to battle.
