Other student, Morella: Name: Morella Cinder Nickname: If you're familiar with her, Cindy, Morry, Ella. Gender: Female Age: 18 Weapons/Equipment/Armor: “Midnight Shadows,” Boots made of Obsidium, an obsidian like alloy which gives it the relative strength of metal, but a 10x sharper edge for the bladed parts and an appearance of black glass. The boots have two boosters on each ankle which can be used as firearms, and the bottoms additions that can form into blades, spikes, and shielded cover for intense blunt attacks. They also have spinning cylinders that are powered by her movement, are able to be used to channel the energy from Dust into Glyph Gates to use in combat, to release elemental attacks or aid in her movement. They’re fairly heavy, but she’s trained her legs to be strong enough to wield them easily, though she can streamline them with only one addition to make them lighter if need be. Semblance: Glyph Gatekeeper. She’s able to use her Aura to in conjunction with her Slicer Spinners to open Glyph Gates. Besides elemental attacks from various Dust types, she has Jump, Dash, Block, and Stop. Besides Block, the rest are mainly used for support, and are difficult to use directly on enemies. Hobbies: Skating, dancing, smithing, and sparring. She also likes to do all of these things while listening to music, if possible. Has large headphones that can be flipped to be speakers, each one is about the size of a cookie. Bio: Morella was set to be a premier ballerina, even at a young age, she sold out theatres all over. Graceful, powerful, intense, and driven, she had the makings of a star. But one performance was interrupted by a Grimm attack, and apparently staged by a terrorist organization (Though no hard evidence could be found.). In the attack, Morella lost her parents a traumatizing experience that caused her to drop out of the dancing world. She went through a foster program, and spent years living in an awful foster house waiting to be adopted. Throughout the years, though, she eventually took up dancing again, but couldn’t make it again. The critics considered her damaged goods by now, and an older dancer, no matter how exceptional, wasn’t as impressive as a younger one to them. Turning her anger onto what caused her loss, she put all her purpose into becoming a Huntress. She was lucky enough to enroll into Signal, and passed with flying colors. She learned as much as she could about engineering, crafting her rather complex weapons herself, and learning she was a deft hand at magic as well. She’s not interested in the spotlight anymore, but in simply being the best she can be. She didn't have access to her family's fortune growing up, and their will stipulated that no guardian or foster parent could use her inheritance without strict permission granted from Morella herself. This obviously wasn't a big draw for her, and didn't make her popular with the woman who ran the foster home, but Morella was finally able to access her money before she was accepted at Beacon. She'd crafted several combat boots with what material she had at Signal, but various metal alloys weren't what she was looking for, so she has a few spare boots she's crafted. She researched a very rare, expensive, and difficult material known as "Obsidium," which is glass-like in appearance but one of the strongest materials in existence, almost like diamond. The process to craft it was very complex, but Morella was determined to have the best weapon she could have, a precision tool that was an extension of herself. Through painstaking research, experimentation, and preparation, she succeeded in crafting Obsidium into the parts she needed, though she'd been accepted to Beacon awhile before she'd finished crafting them. But while she didn't have them when she took the entrance exam, she was looking forward to testing them out once she got there. Personality: Usually very cold and distant, though is trying to be more accommodating and friendly to people (with little success). Runs by a strict schedule, and loves keeping things in a rhythm. This can apply to her fighting, but she’s learned to not fall into so simple a rhythm that her moves can be predicted. Still has a great fashion sense, though she doesn’t spend money on fancy clothes any longer, and has learned the value of elbow grease and hard work in her efforts. She's not racist towards Fauna, but she'd read reports that the some Fauna maybe have been involved in the attack that killed her parents, so she can be a little on edge when interacting with someone intimidating or shady who's also a Faunus. Appearance: Though it's very rare that she ever smiles. It was dimly lit, a few floor lights along the base of the wall gave enough for her to see the dimensions of the room. She cleared her throat and tersely said, “Computer, on.” The room lit up, showing a black and white grid on the floor and gray walls. The light came from the ceiling, the entire face giving off a regular glow which cast an equal and smooth light on everything. Morella set down her bag, unzipping it and pulling out two objects. Dark, translucent, they gave a low shine when reflecting the ceiling. Like black glass, formed beautifully with each joint and switch in perfect alignment. She quickly and smoothly slid them over her legs, after taking her shoes off, and stood up. Her body tensed as she said, “Computer, activate training module 42-J.” Floating holographic targets appeared around her, ducking and weaving within each other. They were red with a large center dot, and moved around Morella as she charged. She spun, her feel flying through the air and passing through several targets, turning them green and freezing them in place. After she spun, she flip, hitting another three targets from the giant cloud of red light. Each strike flowed from one to the other so perfect that one would think she practiced it before, when this sequence was randomized. For her, it wasn’t several different moves to attack with. The whole thing was one move, like a dance, from start to finish. Methodical. Precise. Deadly. She gave a flying kick, chasing down the last target as he swooped close to the ground, landing with a long slide after finishing her strike, pausing before looking back to see the targets she struck. -Performance shows 2% improvement over record time, would you like to save current score in the record?- “Not this time. Run it again,” Morella said simply, getting back into her stance. She knew she could do better, she wasn’t done yet.
