List of Accepted Characters
Name: Cassius Mallory Gender: Male Age: 17 Personality: Hollow, Cassius actually has a lack of personality. He has trouble feeling emotions, and is often confused when he doesn't feel what he thinks he should. When around others, Cassius often adapts the personality that he believes others would approve of, which tends to make the boy inconsistent and confusing. He covers his emptiness with layers of false personalities, making it hard to work out his true nature. Being alone his entire life, he finds it hard to shoo away his feelings of deep loneliness. Cassius often does not know how to respond to social situations due to his almost absolute lack of interaction during his childhood. In the end, Cassius is a hollow and empty boy who just wants to know his place in the world. Appearance: He stands at 5'8, with an average shape and form. His head is somewhat large in proportion to his body. Bio: It all started with two investigators who were researching the powers of Old World magick, they devoted their lives to the low possibility that some fairy tale powers actually existed in the real world. After years and years of research, their work had finally paid off. They had managed to pinpoint the location of a possible artifact. When they had arrived at the position, they were met by a large rock-like shape that glowed with a strange, blue aura. As they wearily touched the strange artifact, pure force of mysterious origin was propulsed from the item, flinging the two backwards and temporarily blinding them with its light. When they regained their vision, the rock was gone, replaced with a mewling baby. Confused and angered at their sudden loss, they stood staring at the child. That's when they realized that the child must be the artifact, kept hidden from the universe by powers unknown. But they had found it, after years and years of research they had found it. Now they'd just have to raise the child. They brought him back to their household, far isolated from any community. The two scientists raised Cassius as a weapon, giving no social interaction to the boy. Cassius was tutored for half of each day on the abilities of reading and writing, but nothing more. No emotion was showed during those lessons, there was nothing more than a dull, continuous drawl that he was forced to follow along. At the age of 10, the lessons were halted, and he was left alone on an isolated piece of land, gates constructed around the area keeping him in. Even though he was free to wander the piece of land, he was caged in like an animal, with only cameras to keep him company and the quick flash of flesh that could be sighted from the hatch that his meals were delivered. At the age of 17, Cassius had shown no sign of any magickal ability. Their research had failed, and the Crimson Gales had caught onto their experiments and tests. Their lives were for nothing. The Crimson Gales began their march upon the household to interrogate the scientists. It was Cassius's 17th birthday, and that was when he saw the scientists for the first time in 7 years. They came into his little encampment silently, staring down at the boy that had been the destruction of their careers. Reaching into their pockets, they pulled out two matching pistols and simultaneously shot themselves, their blood splattering the boy. When the Crimson Gales had finally arrived, they found Cassius staring down at the two bodies of the scientists, the two that he'd thought of as parents. Any research that had belonged to the two had been destroyed, and the boy was al that they could salvage. The mysterious boy was taken back to the homeland of the Crimson Gales, where they attempted to reform him and taught him the history of the land. Cassius, with no other choice, enlisted in the military. Maybe he'd finally be able to find his place there.

Name: Cynthia Blackburn Gender: Female Age: 17 Personality: Cynical, though will accept to aid others if it doesn't create too much of a distraction from her own goals. She is fairly quiet, though also has a fierce side that is rarely seen. When it shows...well, you better hope you're not the one on the receiving end of her wrath... Oh, and she also might be slightly delirious, though it could just be classified as insanity in general. Appearance: Bio: Cynthia is from a race of humans who have been all but nearly left extinct in recent years, due to genetic wipeout as they've been unintentionally "breed out" of their original and true selves, leaving behind only a handful of full-breeds. Cynthia just so happens to be one such full-breed, having both mother and father of the same race. These people are typically referred to as "Darkner's". Cynthia started out life as a young lass in the slave trade. Her birth was noticed by the noble her mother and father worked for, and she was sent to auction immediately. However, due to her being so young, she would cost more than she was worth, and nobody bought her. Eventually, the noble settled on letting Cynthia's parents keep her and raise her for the time being, though they had to accommodate for Cynthia's goods and services, as she wasn't working... Cynthia's younger life was harsh. Her bed was a small stack of hay out in the barn, since she wasn't allowed to sleep in the house; the best thing she ever ate as a child was a steak, which she stole and was caught, being severely punished for it - her usual meals consisted of whatever her parents could lay their hands on, often creating a broth or soup; and her best friend was imaginary, as everyone in reality, aside from her parents, were hateful towards her, leading towards more childhood trauma. However, that wasn't the worst of it... Things really started taking a turn for the worst by the time she hit 7. By now she had to work daily to, quote-on-quote, "complete her end of the deal"; would get constantly beaten and bullied by both adults and children alike; development of delirium ensued as she became closed from the rest of the world; her mother died of starvation; and, last but not least, she killed a boy in a fit of rage... At age 14 Cynthia began to retaliate. She learnt how to fight, both mentally and physically, her delirium began to die down a little, she got some sympathy from the nobleman due to her mothers death, and learnt about The Crimson Gales. This was also the time she began to develop a more self-centered personality, caring less and less about others and becoming more cynical on life. However, it was a week before her seventeenth birthday when her father proposed to Cynthia a way out. She though that he was going to buy her out of the industry, but the truth of the matter was that he was going to smuggle her out. The plan he devised was going smoothly, though it was at the final stage where they messed up. The nobleman spotted the two trying to sneak out and immediately called the guards. Her father murdered the "nobleman" right then and there, and ordered Cynthia to escape whilst she still could, leaving her with one final plea: "Stay safe and bring justice..." It wasn't until a month or two later that Cynthia was asked to join the Crimson Gales'. But when it did, she felt the need to join, as if those were the true meaning behind her fathers final words...
