Gin had a relatively good start to his day, or at least... he thought. He could not quite recall what had happened after his feet touched the floor when he rolled out of bed some time ago. He faintly remembered throwing on a shirt and grabbing his ID and then, nothing. He really was not good at waking up, which probably would explain his current situation. There Gin sat at a corner table, two books before him, and no food within arms reach. A low rumbling growl escapes his throat before he slowly lowers his head onto the rather old looking books, a breathy sigh escaping him. Though he much preferred the confines of his room for studying, he must have been rather hungry to have dragged himself to the third basement dinning hall. He could not quite place why he had even brought these books with him, he had already read them over hundreds of times within the past few years. Another groan escapes Gin as he rolls his head to the side, pointed dog-like ears twitching slightly as he slowly closes his right eye and sucks in a sharp breath, slowly exhaling. Though he had spent nearly all of his life here, he detested the smells he had grown use too and the sounds he was forced to try and ignore. Some days it was passive nature, other days it was an entirely new task all on its own. And today seemed to be one of the days where it took on being a task of its own. The smell of the wiped down tables, the books, the food that was out of his reach... Gin snorts softly, finally lifting a hand up to scratch at his own ears before lightly rubbing his right temple. And even though he had not checked or been fully aware of a new group of children arriving, he was quite sure he would be seeing them soon. While he was not focusing on it, he could feel some traces of anxiety from here. And it was just getting stronger with each passing moment, leaving him to believe they were on their way now. Without wasting much more time, he sits himself upright, carefully adjusting his black clothed eyepatch... not wanting to scare any of them. Though it had only happened twice, he still remembered both incidents quite well. It was anyone's guess at who all would be with them, naturally though Connor was on that small list, the guy was great with the newbies afterall! But did he have company today...?
