While I do agree on all of your points, I do think that the movie was impartially different because it was intended for american audiences, produced by american producers. It was meant to be a starting point for a "American" Doctor who series and everything...Sadly they didn't realize the reason why Doctor who became so popular was because it was Doctor who, not...whatever the hell that movie was. It wasn't just that obviously though.. ( the eight doctor is really awesome, but the way they made the regeneration happen with the doctor being shot made me angry) Season 1 was a bit of a mess, but I liked it. Christopher Eccleston is one of my favorite doctor and so I went along happily. And for the first season since...a decade and a half it did really good. Also, doctor who was back and I was extremely giddy. Looking back at it now I still think it's a very good season overall.Though basically all seasons are good, it was quite better then a couple. Even if rose is the worst companion of the new series :D Doctor who rambles are fun
